Chocolate pasta with vanilla sauce and caramelized bananas recipe details
|3 tbsp||cocoa powder|
|4 tbsp||icing sugar|
|2 tbsp||vanilla sugar|
|1 dash(es)||rapeseed oil|
InstructionsMix together the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar and the salt. Whisk the eggs and the oil and add to the flour mixture. Knead until the dough is well combined. If necessary add a spoonful of water. Wrap the dough into foil and cool in the refrigerator for an hour.
Half the vanilla pod. Scratch out the pulp. In a saucepan, heat the milk with the sugar, vanilla pulp and vanilla pod. Whisk the egg with some cold milk and the cornflour. Add the mixture into the boiling milk and cook stirring until thickened. Don’t boil anymore.
Peel the bananas and cut at an angle into slices. Caramelize the sugar in a pan until golden brown. Add the bananas and toss until the bananas are coated all around with caramel.
Roll out the dough and cut into noodles. Cook in boiling water for approximately 3 minutes. Drain.
Arrange some noodles in the middle of deep plates. Pour over vanilla sauce and top with the bananas. Serve garnished with mint.
