Ingredients

500 g oats
2 tbsp butter
400 g brown sugar
2 medium eggs
4 tsp vanilla extract, devided
250 g flour, all-purpose
1 tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp salt
115 g walnuts, chopped coarsley
300 ml condensed milk, sweetened
350 g chocolate chips

Instructions

In a bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Mix well.

In another bowl combine the oats, flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well ad then stir into creamed mixture.

Press two thirds of oat mixture into a greased baking pan.

In a saucepan combine chocolate chips, milk, butter and salt. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate is melted. Remove from the heat; stir in walnuts and vanilla.

Spread over crust and sprinkle with remaining oat mixture. Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.
