Ingredients

1 piece(s) fish, Bream or Seabass
some oil, for frying
1 medium egg, yolk only
For the marinade:
5  centimeters of ginger, grated
2 tbsp rice wine
some salt
For the sauce:
2 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in water
4 tbsp rice wine
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp tomato ketchup
pinch(es) salt
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp white vinegar
250 ml water
to add to the sauce later:
1 clove(s) garlic, chopped
3  shallots, chopped
50 g frozen peas
1 large can(s) pineapple

Instructions

Clean the fish and make three incisions on each side. Then marinate the fish for 1 hour. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce. Now brush the fish with the egg yolk and fry in hot oil on both sides. This takes not more than 4-5 minutes each side. Set the fish aside.

Add the shallots and the garlic and fry in the oil. Now add the sauce mixture and mix well. Let it thicken than add the peas and pineapple.

Pour the sauce over the fish and serve with rice.

Please note:
Don’t get set off by the long list of ingredients; this recipe is very easy. Just remember to prepare everything before starting to cook. The cooking process is done very quickly.
