Chinese hot pot fondue recipe details
Ingredients
750 g | Flank steak |
1 l | water |
2 packet(s) | beef bouillon |
2 tbsp | white wine |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
1 | green onion |
1 slice(s) | ginger |
400 g | fin fish |
400 g | shellfish |
300 g | cuttlefish |
200 g | baby corn |
1 piece(s) | Chinese cabbage |
500 g | fresh mushrooms |
100 g | peanut Sauce |
100 g | hot mustard |
Instructions
Cut the beef into paper thin rectangular slices.Tip: Freeze the beef for 1 -2 hours to make the cutting much easier.
Prepare the side dishes, washing and draining the vegetables. Cut the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces and shred the lettuce or chop as desired.
Lay the beef and side dishes on separate plates on a table. Then place the dipping sauces on the table in small individual bowls.
Combine the water and beef bouillon and bring to a boil. Turn down to a simmer and add the white wine, soy sauce, green onion, and ginger.
Now transfer enough broth so that the fondue pot is approximately 2/3 – 3/4 full. (How much broth you need will depend on the size of the fondue pot).
Place the fondue pot on the burner, and keep it simmering throughout the meal. Keep the remaining broth warming on the stovetop.
