Ingredients
200 g | carrots, diced |
400 g | chicken breast fillet |
1 | onion, chopped |
200 g | mushrooms, sliced |
50 g | single cream |
250 ml | Hollandaise sauce |
150 g | peas, frozen |
4 slice(s) | puff pastry |
1 | egg |
1 | bay leaf |
salt and pepper | |
1 tbsp | oil |
60 g | butter |
1 l | water |
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil and add carrots, bay leaf and chicken breast fillet and season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.In a saucepan, sauté the onion and the mushrooms in oil until lucent. Season with salt and pepper.
With a slotted spoon, take carrots and chicken out of the broth. In a small saucepan, combine 200 ml of the broth with Hollandaise sauce, cream and butter and bring almost to a boil. Add the vegetables, peas and mushrooms.
Cut the chicken in bite-sized pieces and put into a casserole dish. Add the sauce with the vegetables.
Roll out the pastry sheets, large enough to cover the casserole.
Separate the egg. Brush the edges of the casserole dish with egg white. Put the pastry over the casserole and firmly press the edges to seal. Prick the pastry lid with a fork several times and brush all over with the egg yolk.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
