Cheese rabbit recipe details
Ingredients
1 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | red bell pepper, finely chopped |
2 tbsp | onions, finely chopped |
½ cup(s) | tomato paste |
380 g | grated cheese (Cheddar or Gouda) |
2 tbsp | milk |
1 | egg yolk |
some | salt and pepper |
4 slice(s) | bread |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the butter and sauté the bell pepper and the onions over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for a minute over low heat. Add the cheese, milk and egg yolk. Cook stirring until the cheese is melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper.Spread butter onto the toasts and cover with the cheese mixture. Serve warm or cold.
