Ingredients
125 g | cornflakes |
250 ml | milk, full-fat preferred |
sugar, to taste | |
For the topping and decoration: | |
2 small | clementines or tangerines, peeled and segmented |
1 large | banana, peeled and sliced |
1 | persimmon, sliced |
1 | carambola, sliced |
Instructions
Prepare the topping:Rinse and dry both the persimmon and carambola. Slice each into 8 slices. Slice the banana into 8 thick or 12 thinner slices.
To serve:
Fill each of 4 cereal bowls with the cornflakes – the amount is based upon an average normal portion and may be adjusted to personal preference. Pour on milk and add sugar to taste. Top with fruit and serve immediately.
Variations:
If preferred, the milk may be pre-warmed, not boiled please, as the cornflakes will lose texture.
Replace the cornflakes with another packaged cereal, Weetabix or shredded wheat would be good substitutes.
