|20 g||dried yeast|
|For the Filling:|
|500 g||minced beef|
|1 medium||onion, chopped|
|1||red pepper, chopped|
|2 clove(s)||garlic, minced|
|1 tsp||mixed herbs|
|400 g||canned tomatoes, chopped|
|1 tbsp||Worcestershire sauce|
|1 tbsp||tomato paste|
|100 g||Mozzarella cheese, grated|
|freshly ground pepper, to taste|
|egg wash, 1 beaten egg mixed with a small quantity of liquid|
Combine yeast, sugar, flour, salt and butter. Gradually add the milk and mix to a soft dough. Knead. Leave until doubled in size, 1 – 1 1/2 hours.
Fry minced beef, onion, pepper, garlic and herbs. Cook for 10 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, puree, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
Knead dough. Cut into four. Knead and roll out to form 15 cm circles. Place a quarter of the sauce and mozzarella on half of the dough rounds. Fold dough over beef sauce and moisten edges with egg wash. Seal.
Bake at 200°C until slightly browned.
