Brandied cider sauce details
Serve over pancakes (we make Banana Walnut Pancakes) or waffles.
- Ingredients
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons brandy
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves
In a small saucepan, heat 3/4 cup of cider, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves to a boil; lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Mix remaining 1/4 cup of cider with the cornstarch and stir into sauce. Bring to a boil and keep stirring for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in brandy.
