This classic hummus recipe makes for an easy appetizer–or build off of it to create a hummus in your own style.

Ingredients
Makes: 2 cups- 1 (1 pound) can garbanzo beans, drained
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins1. Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Serve with chips or pita bread for dipping.
