Ingredients

5  apples
75 g butter
75 g sugar
50 g ground walnuts
½ tsp cinnamon powder
5 stick(s) cinnamon

Instructions

Peel the apples and remove the core with an apple corer. Melt butter and turn the apples several times in it.

Mix sugar with nuts and cinnamon and turn the apples in the mixture until they are completely coated with the mixture. Put the apples side by side into a baking dish.

Combine the remaining nut mixture with the remaining butter and spoon the mixture into the centre of the apples. Plug the cinnamon sticks into the stuffing and bake at 180°C for 45-50 minutes, until a nice golden crust has formed.

The apples taste best served warm with a ball of vanilla ice cream.
