Apple plum cobbler recipe details
Ingredients
For the Filling: | |
600 g | Bramley apples, peeled, cored, sliced |
600 handful | Cox apples, peeled, cored, sliced |
12 | plums, pitted, chopped |
25 g | muscovado sugar |
1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
2 tbsp | water |
For the topping: | |
280 g | self-raising flour |
140 g | butter |
140 g | sugar |
70 g | oats |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 28 x 20 x 5cm baking dish.Filling:
Put the apples and plums in the baking dish and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Add the water and toss everything together. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until the fruit is softened.
Remove from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 200°C.
Topping:
Combine the flour, butter and sugar in a blender and process until smooth. Tip the mixture into a bowl, then stir in the oats.
Sprinkle the topping over the apple and plum mixture and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
