Almond pate details
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup minced onion
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped herbs or Herbes de Provence
- 1 cup raw almonds, ground fine
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 to 3 teaspoons soy sauce or to taste
- 2 small cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 to 4 Tablespoons mayonnaise
1. Cook the onions, herbs and cumin in butter until onions are soft.>2. In a large mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together except the mayonnaise.>3. Add the mayonnaise a tablespoon at a time and work into the mixture until it holds together.>4. Line a mold with plastic wrap and put mixture into mold. Cover with the plastic wrap ends. Refrigerate for at least two hours.>
Serve as a pate with crackers. Can also be served as a filling for mushrooms.
