Ingredients

1 ½ kg brambles
1 ½ l dry red wine
pulp of a vanilla pod
750 g sugar
1 stick(s) cinnamon
1 ½ l rum

Instructions

In a large saucepan, bring the brambles with wine, sugar, vanilla pulp and cinnamon to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Allow to cool a little bit.

Stir in in the rum. Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve, lined with cheesecloth into sterilized bottles. Close with caps and allow to steep at a cool place for at least 2 weeks before serving.
