100 g | margarine |
100 g | sugar |
225 g | flour |
1 medium | egg |
1 tsp | baking powder |
For the topping: | |
1000 g | curd cheese |
400 g | sour cream |
150 ml | milk |
200 g | sugar |
2 medium | eggs |
2 packet(s) | custard powder, vanilla flavoured |
25 g | cacao powder |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Use a small springform tin (diameter 22cm). Cover the bottom of the springform tin with a baking paper and grease the sides. In a bowl mix margarine, 100g sugar, flour and the egg with baking powder. Knead until the dough is smooth and pliable. Transfer to a lightly floured surface. Flour a rolling pin and roll out the dough to a circle about 28cm in diameter. Now transfer the dough to the springform tin, so that the bottom is completely covered and also the sides up to 3cm.
In a bowl mix together the remaining ingredients except the cacao. Now split the mixture into half and add the cacao to one half and mix well until the cacao has dissolved. Alternately ladle these two curd cheese mixtures into the center of the springform tin, don´t stir or do anything else with it, the mixture will float to the sides by itself.
Transfer to the oven and bake for 85 minutes, then check with a wooden skewer whether the cake is baked and dry inside, if not, extend baking time by another 10 minutes and test again. If you fear that the cake will now turn too dark at the top, cover it with aluminium foil. When baked, remove from oven and allow to cool down a bit before removing the cake from the springform tin.
