Ingredients
85 g | soft butter |
¾ cup(s) | sugar |
1 tsp | baking powder |
2 tsp | grated ginger |
3 tbsp | treacle |
2 cup(s) | flour |
1 tsp | bicarbonate of soda |
1 tbsp | milk |

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170° C.Sieve the flour, baking powder and sugar into a saucepan. Stir in the butter, ginger and treacle. Heat stirring until well combined and the butter has melted. Mix the soda into the milk and stir this into the batter.
Pour the batter into a cake form and bake for 45-60 minutes.
