80 g | flour, all-purpose |
2 tbsp | cornmeal |
1 large | egg |
30 | almonds, sliced |
some | salt |

Add the egg and whisk until the dough is firm.Scrape dough onto a sheet of cooking paper or parchment. Top with another equal-sized sheet of paper and pat dough into a 2 cm thick circle. Wrap in plastic and freeze for 15 minutes, or refrigerate up to 3 days.
Roll dough into a rectangle about 20 cm wide and 25 cm long. Paper must not crease. Return to freezer for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Peel off top paper and use a sharp knife to cut the dough into 30 strips, each about 1 cm and 12 cm long.
Place each strip on a large baking sheet and sprinkle with salt to taste. Use your fingers to round the top of each strip into a fingertip shape. Use a sharp knife to score knuckle lines in each finger, and then press an almond into the fingertip to create the nail.
