This coffee cake is perfect for the holidays. Textured like pound cake and topped with nuts, sugar, and cinnamon, this cake is sure to please!

Ingredients
Serves: 8- Topping:
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- Batter:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 35 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and lightly flour two small loaf pans.
2. To make the topping, combine the pecans, sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
3. To make the batter, cream the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl until light and fluffy. Slowly add the sour cream to the butter mixture and mix just until combined.
4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture.
5. Set half the batter aside and evenly pour remaining half in the two loaf pans. Set half the topping mixture aside and evenly sprinkle remaining half evenly over the two loafs pans. Divide remaining batter in half and pour in each loaf pan. Sprinkle with remaining topping.
6. Bake in the preheated oven until top is golden brown and the center is firm, 30 to 40 minutes. If the sides cook too quickly and the center is still moist, cover with foil and continue to bake until center is cooked.
