Quick Turkey Chili with Penne

Ingredients
Serves: 6
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 cups water
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 cups uncooked penne pasta
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 30 mins
1. Put the oil in a large sauce pan or soup pot, preferably a nonstick one. Heat oil over medium until hot. Add the ground turkey, onion and bell pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, until turkey is completely browned.
2. Add remaining ingredients except for the penne pasta, and bring to boil. Add the penne pasta, then simmer for 20 minutes on low heat. Serve.
