Heart Shaped Vanilla Ice Cream recipe

|120 ml||whipping cream|
|1 large||egg, yolk only|
|¼ tbsp||vanilla extract|
Combine cream and sugar in a sauce pan and bring to the boil. Turn off heat.
In a small bowl whisk egg yolk with a small amount of the hot cream mixture. Add back to hot cream in pan whisking continuously and rapidly over very low heat to thicken but do not bring to the boil anymore.
Remove from heat and cool. Set aside 2 teaspoons for garnish.
Place heart shaped cookie cutters or stencil on a plate and spoon in ice cream mixture pressing firmly. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze.
To serve remove ice cream from stencil or cutters and place on a plate. For decoration use the chocolate sauce to create a little heart design on top of the ice cream heart as well as on the plate.
