Ingredients
2 | bananas, peeled and cut into 1-inch, 25mm slices |
2 | apples, peeled and cored, cut into chunks |
2 | pears, peeled and cored, cut into chunks |
2 | oranges, quartered |
2 slice(s) | melon, peeled an cut into chunks |
2 tsp | brown sugar |
To serve: | |
200 g | dark chocolate |
30 ml | single cream |
Instructions
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for several minutes to prevent burning. You may also wish to remove the sharp ends before grilling.Arrange fruit on 4 skewers. Sprinkle with sugar.
Place under grill or on a barbecue and grill for about 2-3 minutes or until beginning to caramelise. Serve immediately.
To serve:if using the chocolate sauce, melt the chocolate in the microwave for about 30 seconds on high. Allow to cool for several minutes and mix in the cream. Either pour onto serving plate as a bed of chocolate before adding the brochette or drizzle over the cooked brochette immediately prior to serving.
