Apple plum butter recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | plums, pitted, halved |
1 kg | apples, cored, quartered |
500 g | sugar |
500 ml | apple juice |
3 tsp | cinnamon, ground |
Instructions
Combine plums, apples and juice in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until fruit is very tender. Cool slightly.
Add sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook until butter is thick and glossy, stirring frequently, about 40 minutes.
Remove from heat, spoon into hot sterilized jars and seal.
