Ingredients

1 kg plums, pitted, halved
1 kg apples, cored, quartered
500 g sugar
500 ml apple juice
3 tsp cinnamon, ground

Instructions

Combine plums, apples and juice in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook until fruit is very tender. Cool slightly.

Add sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook until butter is thick and glossy, stirring frequently, about 40 minutes.

Remove from heat, spoon into hot sterilized jars and seal.
