Ingredients
Serves: 4- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 6 slices abalone, diced
- 1 potato, peeled and diced
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Brown bacon in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat.
2. Cook abalone, potato, and onion in bacon fat for 10 minutes, until browned. Stir in hot water. When water comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and cook for 10 more minutes, or until potatoes are fork-tender.
3. Stir in milk and butter, along with salt and pepper to taste. Heat through, but don’t let the mixture boil again. Serve.
