Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
12 plums halved and pitted
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

Directions

Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mark as complete

Cream sugar and butter until light in color. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir into batter.

Spoon into pan.
Cover with plum halves.

Sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice; adjusting to tartness of fruit, sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake for one hour at 350 degrees F.
