Preparation:Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan. |

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. |

Pie and crust:Cream sugar and butter until light in color. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and stir into batter. |

Spoon into pan. |

Cover with plum halves. |

Sprinkle with sugar and lemon juice; adjusting to tartness of fruit, sprinkle with cinnamon. |
