1 L Water
30 g Sugar
1 Vanilla
Freshly squeezed juice from 1 lemon

Preparation:

Wash the pears. Peel them, cut them in 4 pieces and take out the middle.

Cooking:

In a large pot put together the water, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and cloves.
Bring to boil.

Add the pears and bring to boil again.

Lower to medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.
The pears should be cooked, but still firm.

Serving:

Let the pear compote cool for 10 min.
Serve.

Tip:

You can add other spices such as cinnamon or even ginger if you want.
