350 g Crushed chocolate chip cookies

70 g Butter, melted

4 Egg yolks

75 g Brown sugar

6 tbsp Corn starch

900 ml MilkFull fat

150 g Dark chocolate45% cocoa

4 Egg whites

200 g White sugar

2 drops Vanilla extract

Done

Crust:Put the crushed chocolate chip cookies in a bowl. Add the melted butter and mix nicely. |

Cover the bottom of a 23 cm round cakepan with baking paper. Put the crust mixture. Distribute evenly on the cakepan bottom. |

Cream:Using a hand mixer, in a bowl mix the egg yolks, sugar and corn starch. |

In a medium sized pan heat the milk until it starts to boil (bubbles with start appearing on the edges). Just before the milk boils remove it from the stove and pour it into the egg yolk-sugar-corn starch mixture. Mix until the ingredients combine. |

Put the egg yolk-sugar-corn starch-milk mixture back to the heating pan. Place it on the stove at medium heat. |

Heat the mixture while constantly stirring until you get a pudding-like consistency. |

Add the chocolate broken into pieces and mix until it melts. |

Pour the cream on top of the crust. |

Meringue:In a bowl, beat the egg whites until they become firm and white. Gradually add the sugar while beating with the hand mixer. Add the vanilla extract and beat some more. |

Put the meringue on top of the cream. With a kitchen spoon make a wave-like structure of the meringue. |

Serve warm or after cooling down. |
