Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 tbsp Lard
2 Large eggs
1300 mL Milk
1 tsp Baking soda
800 g Granulated sugar
1.2 kg All purpose flour
3 Cocoa pudding
500 g Walnuts, ground

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Cake Crusts:

In a bowl mix together lard, eggs, 100 mL milk, baking soda and 300 g sugar. Start adding the flour gradually and knead the dough until you get a slightly soft dough.
Knead the dough until it is not sticky anymore.

Divide the dough on 7 pieces so you will get 7 cake crusts.
Using a rolling pin make 7 equal round cake crusts. Roll them with flour so the crusts will not stick to the kitchen counter.

Baking:

Using a 38 cm round baking pan bake the cake crusts one by one.
Bake the crusts until they become golden, the firmness of a biscuit.

Walnut Filling:

I a 100 mL milk dissolve the 3 puddings.

Put 500 g sugar in a pot and heat it until you get caramel.
Start adding the milk gradually. Be careful as the milk will start boiling immediately when you add it to the caramel.
Heat the mixture until the caramel dissolves into the milk.

Add the dissolved puddings into the caramel mixture.
Make the pudding.

When the pudding is ready add 400 g ground walnuts. Mix evenly.

Layering:

On a serving pan out one cake crust and cover it with a layer of the walnut filling.
Repeat until all the crusts are used. The last layer should be walnut filling.

Sprinkle the rest of the walnuts on top of the cake.
