Queen victoria scones recipe recipe details
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour (hard)
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 7 Tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 6 ounces raisins
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Mix flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut with pastry blender or in food processor.
Add eggs slowly.
Add raisins.
Add cream, mix to smooth dough.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness and shape into two 6-inch circles.
Cut into pie wedges.
Brush with egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
