Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
8 Large eggs
8-10 tbsp Granulated sugar
1/2 Margarine, softened
4 tbsp All purpose flour
1-2 Semolina
1 Baking powder
1/2 L Milk
1-2 tbsp All purpose flour
1 Vanilla
2 kg Apple, peeled and sliced
3 tbsp Corn starch

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Grease baking pan with oil and sugar.

Apple Layer:

Put the apples in the greased baking pan.
Bake the apples for 30 minutes or until they become soft.

Dough:

Prepare the dough while you bake the apples.

From 4 eggs, separate the egg whites from the egg yolks.
Beat the egg whites until you get a nice firm cream. First add the 4 tbsp sugar. Then add the yolks.

Cut the margarine in pieces and add it to the beaten eggs. Mix on maximum speed.
Add 4 tbsp flour and 2 tbsp semolina and the baking powder. Mix it nicely on medium speed.

Pour the dough on top of the baked apples.

Bake the dough until it becomes golden brown or until a toothpick inserted inside comes out clean.

Filling:

In a bowl put 400 mL milk and 3 tbsp and heat it.
In another bowl mix 4 yolks with the corn starch and 100 mL of milk until they combine.

When the milk comes close to boiling, add the yolks-corn starch-milk mixture.
Stir it constantly so it will become dense like when making a pudding.

Egg White Cream:

Beat the whites of 4 eggs with 4/6 tbsp sugar until you get a firm cream.

Turning Cake Upside Down:

Take the baked cake out of the oven. Wai for it to cool to room temperature.
Take a tray bigger than the baking pan and put it on top of the pan.
Flip the pan and the tray over. The dough will now be on the tray and the apples on top of the dough.
Slide the dough and the apples back into the baking pan.
Now the dough will be at the bottom and the apples on top of it.

Layering:

Add the filling on top of the apples.
Spread the egg white cream on top of the filling.

Put the cake back in the oven and bake it for a few minutes on low temperature so it will dry a little.
